At Magnopus, we are on a mission to bridge the gap between the physical and digital worlds. Our team, comprised of Oscar-winning artists, designers, and engineers, is currently building the Connected Spaces Platform. This open-source SDK is designed to be the foundation of the spatial internet, allowing creators to build and publish interconnected experiences that are as accessible as the websites we use today. We believe in fostering a creative, diverse workplace where empathy and curiosity drive our innovation, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for building a more connected future.
The opportunity
We are seeking a Lead Programmer I to join our team and focus on the evolution of our iOS client. In this role, you will be a key driver in advancing our platform to support cross-reality spaces that are both interoperable and accessible. You will work closely with product and program management to define technical goals, mentor fellow engineers, and ensure our software meets the highest standards of performance and quality. This is a full-time, remote position that offers you the chance to shape the future of the spatial internet while working within a collaborative, supportive environment.
A day in the life
- You will lead engineering efforts within your area, taking accountability for high-quality results while clearly communicating product goals and technical risks to your team.
- You will facilitate cross-discipline collaboration by working with product owners to develop project backlogs, document technical strategies, and ensure all delivery requirements are met.
- You will foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring engineers, organizing code reviews, and proposing innovative solutions to complex design challenges.
Who you are
You are an experienced technical leader with a deep understanding of Unity, C#, and AR frameworks. You have a proven track record of managing teams in an Agile Scrum environment and are comfortable navigating the complexities of large-scale software systems. You possess strong debugging and profiling skills, and you are well-versed in Test Driven Development and CICD configurations. Because we value collaboration above all else, you are a clear communicator who can translate technical requirements for non-technical stakeholders and negotiate solutions with your peers. You are proficient in English and have the ability to pick up new languages and technologies quickly.
Why you'll love it here
We are committed to the growth and well-being of our team members. When you join us, you will enjoy a range of benefits designed to support your professional and personal life:
- The flexibility of remote work.
- Generous paid time off to recharge.
- Dedicated support for your professional development.
- A learning budget to help you stay at the forefront of your field.
