As our Lead Platform Engineer, you will head the team responsible for the internal tools and cloud infrastructure that allow our developers to build reliable, scalable applications. You will be a key leader in our organization, helping us foster a culture of operational excellence while ensuring our platform remains a high-velocity engine for our engineering teams.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and mentor our engineers: You will act as a People Lead, guiding the professional growth, career planning, and daily activities of our Platform team members.
• Shape our platform strategy: You will bridge the gap between our high-level organizational goals and the technical implementation, representing the team in leadership decisions and driving our infrastructure roadmap.
• Build developer-centric tools: You will refine our infrastructure as code, optimize our Kubernetes clusters, and create self-service capabilities that make life easier for our product teams.

What you'll bring

• Deep technical expertise: You have significant experience in platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps, with a strong command of Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
• Programming and systems knowledge: You are proficient in languages like Go, Python, or Java and have a solid grasp of Linux administration and networking.
• Leadership and communication: You have a proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and communicate complex strategies clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• A product-focused mindset: You view the platform as a product and are dedicated to understanding the needs of your internal customers.
• Language skills: You are comfortable working in English, and proficiency in German is considered a plus.
