We are currently searching for a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in the United Kingdom. In this role, you will spearhead the design of high-performance solutions that allow our most ambitious AI research to scale effectively.
Responsibilities
- Set the long-term technical vision and roadmap for our machine learning infrastructure to ensure we are building scalable, high-performance systems.
- Improve the efficiency of state-of-the-art deep learning architectures by profiling performance and identifying opportunities for custom CUDA or XLA optimizations.
- Mentor and guide our engineering team, promoting high standards for documentation, testing, and clean code while fostering a culture of technical excellence.
Requirements
To succeed in this position, you should have a deep understanding of modern deep learning and a proven ability to solve complex system challenges. We look for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Expert-level proficiency in Python or C/C++.
- Strong experience working with Linux systems and utilizing performance analysis tools to optimize hardware utilization.
- Hands-on development experience using major machine learning frameworks such as JAX, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- A solid grasp of GPU and TPU architectures and how they influence the design of efficient machine learning systems.
- The legal right to work in the United Kingdom without the need for visa sponsorship.
