At Artera, our IT team serves as the essential foundation for our mission to transform cancer therapy through innovative AI models. We focus on managing our SaaS environment, overseeing device security, and providing high-level support to ensure our staff can work effectively. We are looking for a Lead IT Engineer to join our fully remote team. In this role, you will balance hands-on technical execution with leadership responsibilities, acting as the primary expert for our internal infrastructure and IT services.
Key outcomes
- Maintain a secure, high-performance environment that empowers our employees to succeed in their daily work.
- Develop and execute a long-term IT strategy, including setting quarterly milestones and advising our leadership team on infrastructure goals.
- Lead and mentor the IT team while optimizing our internal systems and providing technical guidance.
- Oversee our SaaS vendor landscape, which includes managing contract negotiations, access configurations, and system integrations.
- Drive IT security operations by proactively managing risks and ensuring our practices meet rigorous data protection standards.
- Collaborate closely with our platform engineering and compliance teams to maintain secure, auditable, and compliant systems.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional experience in IT support.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a people management role.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, and identity management platforms like Rippling or Okta.
- Strong expertise in managing Apple devices using tools such as Jamf or Kandji.
- Practical experience working with SOC2 compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-starting approach to problem-solving.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to remain adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
