Lead Full Stack Engineer at ASAPP

The role

We are looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer to join our distributed, cross-functional team on a full-time basis. This is a lead-level position where you will work across our entire technology stack to design, build, test, and deploy new features. You will be instrumental in developing a large, real-time product that prioritizes high performance and scalability, utilizing a diverse array of backend microservices and modern frontend techniques.

Core responsibilities

• Collaborate with a talented group of engineers to own the development of new products from their initial conception through to deployment.
• Build and maintain user interfaces capable of handling complex interactions, such as flowcharts, graphs, and data trees.
• Improve our backend services by focusing on system efficiency, code quality, and architecting maintainable solutions that meet our scaling requirements.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in full stack software development.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one core backend language, such as Go, Python, Java, or NodeJS.
• Advanced expertise in JavaScript and professional experience building with React.
• Deep knowledge of modern HTML, CSS, and the DOM.
• Demonstrated experience working with microservices, Kubernetes, and scalable distributed applications.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
