We are currently seeking a Lead Enterprise Data Architect to join our Information Technology team in a fully remote capacity.
Key outcomes
- Lead the design and development of a centralized data platform to consolidate and analyze data across the firm.
- Take full ownership of our enterprise data architecture, ensuring all processes are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee the integration of diverse data sources to ensure efficient management and seamless data flow.
- Continuously optimize our data systems to enhance reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Establish and mature our data governance practices, including the management of data quality, business glossaries, data catalogs, and master data hierarchies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to our data management teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Research emerging industry trends to introduce cutting-edge solutions that expand our data capabilities.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in enterprise data architecture, BI and analytics architecture, and data solutioning.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into effective, scalable data architectures.
- Expertise in SQL, NoSQL, and Lakehouse concepts, along with deep knowledge of Azure services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Purview.
- Strong proficiency in end-to-end BI and analytics solution design using Power BI.
- Comprehensive knowledge of data integration, transformation, and pipeline orchestration, including ETL and ELT processes.
- Experience with data security, privacy compliance, identity management, and encryption practices.
- Strong understanding of data governance, including data lifecycle management and metadata management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Familiarity with financial services and accounting principles.
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning fundamentals, including training and validation datasets.
- Relevant professional certifications in Azure or Power BI.
- Experience in project management.
