We are a profitable, well-capitalized organization backed by premier venture firms, and we are currently looking for a Lead Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. This is a full-time position that offers a hybrid work environment, allowing you to balance time in our office with the flexibility needed to collaborate effectively with our global colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing agile team of 4 to 6 engineers, overseeing the design and maintenance of our core software systems.
- Drive our technical strategy by evaluating new technologies and influencing the evolution of our engineering stack to ensure we meet our ambitious goals.
- Foster a culture of accountability and transparency while coordinating efforts across our geographically distributed teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in cloud software development, with a proven track record of leading teams in dynamic, Agile environments.
- Deep technical expertise in microservice architecture, distributed systems, and API-oriented design.
- Proficiency in Ruby and a foundational understanding of JavaScript (Node.js).
- Strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in web scraping and browser automation tools such as Puppeteer or Playwright.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field is considered an asset.
