With a valuation of $1.5 billion and $380 million in funding, we are looking for a Lead Engineer to join our team in India to help us scale our impact.
Key outcomes
- Collaborate with product, design, marketing, and analytics teams to deliver high-quality solutions for our partners and members.
- Architect and maintain robust, scalable back-end systems and complex APIs.
- Develop intuitive, high-performance front-end applications.
- Manage frequent deployments using a streamlined CI/CD pipeline.
- Improve system reliability through increased test coverage and proactive troubleshooting.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide thoughtful, constructive code reviews.
- Identify and advocate for improvements to both the developer and member experience.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience in software engineering, specifically with large-scale, high-availability web applications.
- Proficiency in Ruby, JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and Apollo.
- Expertise in front-end development using React and NextJS.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure and tools including Postgres, Docker, AWS, and CloudFormation.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and provide empathetic feedback.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A deep passion for sustainability and the transition to a clean energy future.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience building applications with Flutter.
- Familiarity working with Zoho Deluge.
