About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will provide critical technical leadership and expertise to help shape the future of our flagship platform, Elements. You will guide our engineering teams in designing and building robust technical solutions, ensuring that our platform continues to empower creators to bring their ideas to life. This is a high-impact position where you will drive new initiatives, mentor developers, and influence our broader technical strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with delivery teams to shape and critique technical designs while maintaining a holistic view of our ecosystem.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and direction to developers and other technical leaders to foster professional growth.
• Create and maintain a clear technical vision and roadmap that balances commercial needs with sustainable engineering practices.

Requirements

We are seeking a seasoned professional who brings a wealth of experience to our global team. You should possess the following qualifications:

• Approximately 10 or more years of technical experience, including demonstrated leadership on multiple large-scale projects.
• Proven success in designing, building, and operating complex, large-scale web applications.
• Strong ability to communicate high-level architectural designs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A mature approach to problem solving, with the ability to balance commercial outcomes with technical excellence.
• Expertise in stakeholder management and the ability to proactively coordinate across cross-functional teams.

Location

This position is remote and can be based anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
