At Tegus, we serve as the primary market intelligence platform for the world's most influential decision makers. We provide institutional investors, corporations, and consultancies with the most comprehensive database of market information available, helping them uncover the insights needed to navigate complex challenges. Our team is driven by a passion for solving difficult problems, and we are looking for a talented Lead Engineer to join us in shaping the future of our platform.
The opportunity
As a Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our technical strategy. You will move beyond simply executing tasks by actively participating in the design and analysis of business solutions. We believe that engineers should be deeply involved in the decision-making process, and you will have the autonomy to own projects from start to finish. Whether you are building systems to track search performance or developing internal tools to boost team productivity, your work will directly impact our ability to deliver unmatched value to our clients.
A day in the life
- Design and build robust software solutions while collaborating with a high-performing team that prioritizes test-driven development and rapid, frequent deployments.
- Develop internal tools and practices, such as custom compilers or automated deployment pipelines, to ensure our engineering team remains efficient and innovative.
- Analyze complex business requirements and lead the end-to-end development of features, ranging from UI component libraries to backend system integrations.
Who you are
We are looking for a versatile engineer who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. You should bring at least 5 years of experience as a generalist who is comfortable working across the entire stack to delight users. While experience with Python, Ruby on Rails, Vue, or TypeScript is a plus, we value your ability to learn and adapt. You should also have experience with Elastic or similar search technologies, along with a strong grasp of Agile methodologies and software testing. Proficiency in English is required for this role, and you must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Why you'll love it here
We take pride in our award-winning culture and our commitment to supporting our people. When you join our team, you will have access to a variety of benefits designed to help you thrive both personally and professionally:
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
- A 401k plan that includes an employer match.
- Paid time off, including unlimited vacation and flexible work hours.
- Disability insurance to provide peace of mind.
- Commuter benefits to make your travel easier.
- A hybrid work environment that balances office collaboration with flexibility.
