We are currently seeking a Lead Engineer, Warehouse Design to join us in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing large-scale design packages, including facility layouts, material handling equipment specifications, and automation designs, to help our clients manage their goods with maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end engineering process for new business awards, transforming concepts into detailed, implementation-ready designs using AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with our Data Analytics team to evaluate client information, including SKU affinities, product velocity, and storage media applications, to inform optimal facility design.
- Manage the lifecycle of material handling and automation vendors, overseeing everything from initial scheduling and permitting to final commissioning and performance testing.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience in a military or professional setting.
- At least 4 years of professional engineering experience within logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management.
- Proven experience in a leadership capacity, with a strong ability to mentor junior team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a high level of analytical capability.
- Strong preference for candidates with 8 to 10 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer and extensive expertise in AutoCAD.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
