Lead Engineer, Client Engineering Team at Sourcescrub

We are growing quickly and looking for a Lead Engineer who will help steer the technical direction of the Client Engineering team while staying hands-on with the code that powers our platform.

The opportunity

As Lead Engineer you will guide the design, development, and upkeep of the customer-facing features that sit at the heart of our SaaS product. Reporting directly to the Director of Client Engineering, you will translate business goals into reliable, scalable systems and help the team deliver value to users around the world. Your work will directly influence how thousands of finance professionals research and engage with private companies every day.

A day in the life

• You might start the morning reviewing pull requests and pairing with an engineer on a new search feature, then join a Scrum stand-up to align priorities across time zones.
• In the afternoon you could architect a cloud-based analytics module, write clean .NET and Angular code, and run automated tests to keep quality high before the next continuous-integration build.
• By the end of the day you may lead a code-review session, outline process improvements that boost team efficiency, and prepare a short update for cross-functional stakeholders.

Who you are

You bring at least five years of experience building customer-facing search and analytics SaaS applications, along with two or more years spent leading projects or teams. A degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field supports your strong foundation in software design. You are fluent in .NET and JavaScript, comfortable architecting robust cloud systems, and experienced working with offshore teams. You communicate clearly with colleagues at every level, including executive leadership, and you thrive in an agile environment that values Scrum practices, unit testing, continuous integration, code reviews, and version control. English is your working language, and you are ready to travel quarterly to connect with teammates in person.
