Lead Developer at Reaktor

We are an award-winning tech community based in Helsinki, and we are currently looking for experienced Lead Developers to join our team. In this full-time role, you will guide the full software development lifecycle, support your team members, and drive high-quality results for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, ensuring the quality and success of our deliveries.
• Collaborate closely with client business and technical teams to facilitate smooth communication and project alignment.
• Develop new features across the full stack, including front-end applications, back-end services, and database management.
• Improve team workflows and foster a healthy, sustainable work-life balance for everyone.
• Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients to encourage future partnerships.
• Mentor your team in adopting and maintaining effective agile practices.

Must-haves

• At least eight years of relevant professional experience spanning back-end, front-end, and operations.
• Deep understanding of agile project management principles.
• Proven experience in both team leadership and consulting roles.
• A track record of solving complex problems alongside diverse client stakeholders.
• Proficiency in at least one server-side language, such as TypeScript, Node.js, Java, Scala, Kotlin, Clojure, or Python.
• Strong expertise in client-side development, specifically with tools like React, TypeScript, JavaScript, or mobile frameworks like Swift.
• Ability to build backend services and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical knowledge of databases, such as PostgreSQL.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid environment at our office or client sites in Finland.
