Since 2011, Fullscript has been on a mission to make healthcare more human and effective. We started with a simple vision to help practitioners easily access the products they trust, and today, that vision has evolved into a comprehensive platform that powers the entire care journey. More than 125,000 practitioners rely on us for clinical insights, lab interpretations, and patient analytics, while over 10 million patients use our tools to stay connected to their treatment plans. We are a team that values curiosity, impact, and collaboration, always looking for smarter ways to help people get better.
The opportunity
We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist to anchor a pivotal initiative in our next chapter. We are building intelligence based on real-world functional outcomes, moving beyond textbook data to analyze longitudinal practitioner records, prescribing history, and lab data. Your role is to define our approach to causal research and set the methodological standard for the entire company. You will turn complex clinical data into actionable insights that shape our product direction and influence executive decisions. This is a high-visibility position for a leader who is comfortable owning a foundational initiative and driving it forward with rigor and autonomy.
A day in the life
- Designing rigorous observational research frameworks that move beyond simple correlation to provide defensible causal inference.
- Leading and mentoring a small, dedicated data team while remaining deeply hands-on with research, modeling, and statistical analysis.
- Translating complex findings into clear, strategic narratives for Product, Marketing, and executive stakeholders to guide our business roadmap.
Who you are
You are a senior professional with advanced training in statistics, biostatistics, econometrics, or a related field. You possess deep expertise in causal inference and have a proven track record of designing studies using observational healthcare data where randomization is not an option. You are comfortable navigating the messiness of real-world clinical datasets, including inconsistent schemas and narrative notes. You are proficient in Python and experienced with statistical modeling libraries. Above all, you are a leader who balances technical depth with the maturity to run a high-visibility research function independently, all while communicating fluently in English.
