About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Data Platform to join our team in a full-time capacity. This is a senior leadership position where you will oversee the strategic direction, reliability, and architecture of our data infrastructure. You will manage a hybrid team of data and analytics engineers, bridging the gap between raw infrastructure and actionable business intelligence. Your work will ensure our data is efficiently ingested, transformed, and utilized to drive company-wide insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data and analytics engineers while fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end data lifecycle, including orchestration with Airflow, storage in BigQuery, and data modeling using dbt.
- Drive the adoption of tools like Sigma Computing and Amplitude to ensure stakeholders across the company have self-serve access to reliable, clean data.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in data engineering and leadership. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 6 years of experience in data or analytics engineering, with a minimum of 2 years in a management or leadership role.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience scaling data warehouses on Google BigQuery and deploying dbt at scale.
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform or Pulumi.
- A deep understanding of product analytics and event-tracking strategies, along with the ability to translate complex business metrics into scalable code.
- Previous experience working in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.
