Role at a glance
We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position, allowing you the freedom to work from anywhere you choose. As a lead-level engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing operations on a global scale while helping us push the boundaries of what our platform can achieve.
Your impact
- Collaborate across engineering, product, and operations teams to integrate new applications into our existing data framework.
- Modernize outdated components to ensure our systems remain efficient and high-performing.
- Design and implement novel functionalities that enhance the capabilities of our products and data intelligence solutions.
What you'll need
We are looking for someone who is passionate about large-scale data technologies and enjoys solving intricate technical problems. You should be a strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Open Source and Big Data technologies, including hands-on experience with Hadoop.
- Expertise in Java development for building scalable solutions.
- Experience with messaging systems like Kafka for seamless data integration.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases for managing large datasets.
- Ability to design complex workflows using Oozie or Airflow.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS.
- Fluency in English.
