What you bring

We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis in the United Kingdom. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our data platform and leading a small team as we implement a robust data mesh architecture. Your work will be central to how we process and utilize climate data to drive our mission forward.

• Lead the Data Platform team while collaborating closely with our Head of Data Platform to build scalable infrastructure.
• Develop platform capabilities that streamline the integration of our data warehouse with both internal and external services.
• Ensure high standards for data testing, versioning, and metadata management across our data mesh while assisting other teams in leveraging our platform.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with extensive experience in designing and scaling complex data platforms. We look for technical proficiency in Python, SQL, Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow. Beyond technical skills, we value candidates who are deeply motivated by our climate mission and possess the grit to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment. Fluency in English is required, and we prioritize individuals who are ambitious, collaborative, and eager to grow alongside our company.
