Role at a glance
We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position ideal for someone with significant experience in building robust data architectures. While we have a preference for candidates located in Southern California or the Pacific time zone, we welcome applications from across the United States.
Your impact
- Take the lead on designing and expanding our product and data warehouse architecture to support advanced client analytics.
- Build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines within Big Data environments, utilizing cloud, on-premise, and hybrid infrastructures.
- Mentor your teammates by providing technical guidance on SQL performance, data visualization, and complex data manipulation strategies.
What you'll need
- Three to five years of professional experience developing large-scale data pipelines.
- Advanced SQL skills and a deep understanding of data modeling and warehousing best practices.
- Hands-on expertise with data integration tools like Apache Spark and Apache Kafka.
- Proficiency in Python and experience working with cloud-based services such as AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or Google Cloud Dataflow.
- Experience with at least one major cloud database technology like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
- A collaborative mindset with familiarity in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to document your work clearly for data governance.
- Fluency in English.
