We are a team of passionate individuals who value personal growth, deep technical exploration, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
What is this role?
We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position, and while we have a preference for candidates located in Southern California or the Pacific time zone, we are open to considering applicants based anywhere in the United States. As a lead-level role, we are looking for someone with three to five years of experience who is ready to take ownership of our data architecture and mentor others.
What will you do?
- Lead the design and expansion of our product and data warehouse infrastructure to support advanced client analytics.
- Build and manage scalable ETL pipelines within big data environments, utilizing cloud, on-premise, and hybrid setups.
- Mentor and guide our engineering team by sharing your technical expertise in SQL, data visualization, performance optimization, and data manipulation.
What makes you a great fit?
You are a dedicated problem solver with a sharp eye for detail and strong communication skills. To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Significant experience developing large-scale data pipelines and a solid grasp of data modeling and data warehousing best practices.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python and advanced SQL skills for building performant datasets.
- Hands-on experience with big data integration tools like Apache Spark and Apache Kafka.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data services such as AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or Google Cloud Dataflow.
- Experience working with major cloud database technologies like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
- A collaborative mindset with experience using version control systems like Git and working within Agile or Scrum frameworks.
What's in it for you?
We operate as a Results-Only Workplace Environment, which means we focus on your goals and projects rather than tracking hours, allowing you the flexibility to take the time you need for vacation, sick leave, or mental health. Our benefits package includes:
- Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
- A 401k retirement plan.
- Flexible working hours and a remote-first culture.
- Opportunities for professional development, including tuition reimbursement, continued education courses, and conference attendance.
- Various fitness and wellness perks, such as group classes, free training, and product discounts.
