What you bring
As our Lead Controls Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, programming, and testing the automation systems that power our PV and BESS projects. This is a full-time, hybrid position that can be based anywhere. You will leverage your expertise in engineering and programming, specifically with C and C++, to ensure our infrastructure meets all operational and regulatory standards. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Planning and implementing PLC and HMI control systems using industry-standard platforms.
- Developing structured, well-documented code for complex energy storage and solar assets.
- Managing system designs and communication interfaces to ensure seamless integration across our energy platforms.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who possesses a deep technical background combined with strong leadership abilities. You should have extensive experience in SCADA and controls system design within the renewable energy sector, along with proficiency in IEC 61131-3 PLC programming and C/C++ development. A successful candidate will be comfortable managing third-party contractors, troubleshooting site-specific technical issues, and communicating effectively across multi-disciplinary teams. We value individuals who demonstrate an ownership mentality, a commitment to our mission, and the ability to solve complex problems through creative, data-driven analysis. Fluency in English is required for this role.
