As we continue to grow and innovate, we are looking for a Lead Business Control Officer to join our team in Brazil on a full-time, on-site basis. You will play a vital role in our newly created Business Control Office, helping us manage risks proactively while maintaining the agility that defines our culture.
What you'll be doing
- You will guide and support our business teams in managing their first-line risk activities, ensuring that we identify and remediate potential issues before they escalate.
- You will establish effective governance frameworks to monitor controls, conduct detailed process mapping, and provide clear reports to our leadership team regarding the current risk landscape.
- You will act as a subject matter expert, applying a risk-focused lens to our product development and strategy while coordinating audit actions and challenging existing processes to ensure we remain secure and efficient.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you should be a quick learner who is comfortable working with a high level of independence. We are looking for someone who brings a hands-on approach and a desire to challenge the status quo. Your background should include:
- Proven experience in Product or Risk Management within the financial services sector.
- Strong proficiency in governance, process mapping, and audit procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships across all levels of our organization.
- Fluency in English.
- A proactive mindset that allows you to prioritize effectively and challenge different lines of defense when necessary.
