At Liatrio, we are a collaborative consulting firm dedicated to transforming how software is delivered. We help enterprises across industries, from healthcare to finance, innovate their processes and build advanced DevOps platforms. We are a small company with a big impact, and we are looking for a Lead Application Modernization Engineer to help us drive holistic change across people, processes, and technology.
Role at a glance
This is a full-time, remote position for an experienced Lead engineer. You will work with clients across the United States and Canada, helping them modernize legacy systems and adopt cloud-native architectures. While this role is remote, you should be prepared for travel to client sites as needed.
Your impact
- Provide technical delivery leadership by architecting solutions, articulating them to clients, and guiding small teams of engineers through the implementation process.
- Uplift the engineering capabilities of both our internal team and our clients through active mentoring, 1:1 feedback, and technical guidance.
- Organize complex workstreams, break down tasks, and ensure technical excellence while maintaining clear communication with account leaders.
What you'll need
We are looking for hands-on leaders who are passionate about modernizing software and improving delivery speed. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity and have the following qualifications:
- Extensive experience in full-stack development, including both new application builds and the modernization of legacy systems.
- Fluency in multiple programming languages and database technologies, alongside deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, API services, and distributed systems.
- First-hand knowledge of DevOps practices, containerization, infrastructure as code, and platform engineering.
- A strong desire to solve complex problems, a hunger for continuous learning, and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Authorization to work in the United States or Canada without the need for sponsorship.
- Availability to travel to client sites, typically ranging from 10% to 50% of the time.
Perks and compensation
The annual base salary for this position is $140,000 to $180,000, depending on your experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package to support your well-being and long-term growth:
- Unlimited vacation and paid time off.
- Medical insurance and a funded HSA option.
- 401k plan with company match.
- Wellness programs, including a monthly LiveWell stipend.
- Quarterly company bonus.
- Flexible remote work environment.
