Role at a glance

We are searching for a Lead AI Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior position based in France where you will lead our technical strategy, mentor our growing squad of engineers, and stay hands-on with the code to build the next generation of AI-powered learning tools.

Your impact

• Drive technical vision: You will own the architectural roadmap for our AI features, ensuring we scale effectively while maintaining high performance and reliability.
• Mentor and coach: You will lead, develop, and unblock our team of AI engineers, helping them grow their careers while fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Ship production-grade AI: You will work closely with product managers and designers to take complex AI concepts from prototype to production, optimizing for cost, latency, and real-world user needs.

What you'll need

We are looking for someone who combines deep technical expertise with a passion for leadership. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess the following:

• Over 4 years of experience building and deploying GenAI or LLM-powered systems into production.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with the modern AI stack, including FastAPI, Azure, Elasticsearch, and observability tools.
• A proven track record of mentoring or leading engineering teams, ideally within a SaaS environment.
• Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, RAG, and vector databases.
• Fluency in English and French to collaborate effectively across our global team.
• A product-oriented mindset and the ability to balance high-level architectural decisions with hands-on coding.
