We are looking for a dedicated Language Testing Specialist to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. Our organization focuses on supporting multilingual learners in grades 1 through 12 by developing high-quality assessment tools like the WIDA ACCESS and WIDA Screener. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our testing materials are accurate, fair, and aligned with the WIDA English Language Development Standards Framework.
Key outcomes
- Develop and refine test items, including scripts and graphics descriptions, to meet specific item requirements.
- Provide constructive feedback to team members and external consultants to improve the quality of test content.
- Coordinate the efforts of external contributors such as item writers and standards experts to ensure we meet our project deadlines.
- Perform rigorous quality control checks on all materials before they reach live administration.
- Analyze pilot data and student feedback to make informed revisions to our assessment items.
- Maintain organized records, databases, and documentation throughout the entire test development lifecycle.
- Create training resources, such as scoring notes and annotated samples, to assist raters in evaluating student responses.
Requirements
This is a senior-level position that requires a strong background in education and assessment development. You must possess excellent writing and data analysis skills, along with a deep understanding of standards alignment. Proficiency in English is essential for this role, as you will be crafting and reviewing complex linguistic content. We value candidates who have experience in project coordination and a meticulous approach to quality control.
