What is this role?
We are seeking a Senior Laboratory IT Systems Administrator to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an on-site position based in the United States where you will play a critical role in maintaining our laboratory and manufacturing systems. You will work within a GxP regulated environment, ensuring that our complex scientific equipment and software remain operational, secure, and fully validated to support our life-changing research.
What will you do?
- You will manage the daily operations, maintenance, and upgrades of our validated laboratory and manufacturing systems, including handling patch management, OS updates, and system security.
- You will serve as a technical subject matter expert, providing first-level support, troubleshooting incidents, and liaising with vendors to resolve technical issues.
- You will drive efficiency by writing custom scripts to automate routine tasks and maintaining comprehensive documentation to ensure our systems remain compliant and audit-ready.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in biopharma or QC processes, including experience with lab instrumentation and GxP environments. We value candidates who understand computer validation and change control processes. You should be comfortable working in lab and clean room settings while following strict safety and gowning procedures. Your technical toolkit should include:
- Strong troubleshooting abilities, specifically with operating systems, log parsing, and hardware diagnostics.
- Experience managing vendors, software licenses, and application upgrades.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred, as is familiarity with tools like Unicorn, Empower, SoftMaxPro, or System Center Configuration Manager.
