We are looking for a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team in Switzerland on a full-time, on-site basis. At Climeworks, we are on a mission to reverse climate change by capturing carbon dioxide directly from the air. We are seeking a mid-level professional who is passionate about carbon engineering and process automation to help us maintain the highest standards of precision and safety in our laboratory operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage routine laboratory testing and instrument calibration, including specialized equipment like spectroscopy, microscopy, and thermal analysis tools.
- Oversee the full data lifecycle, from systematic collection and analysis to ensuring integrity and reporting results to stakeholders.
- Support process improvements and workflow optimization while maintaining strict compliance with safety regulations and laboratory protocols.
Requirements
- A completed education as a chemical lab technician, or a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry or a closely related field.
- Approximately 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, with a strong background in analytical and materials science.
- A methodical and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving, coupled with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-evolving team environment.
- Proficiency in English, with a focus on clear communication and proactive documentation.
