We are a well-funded biotech startup focused on solving critical bottlenecks in immunotherapy through our proprietary ultrafast screening platform. We are looking for a part-time Lab Technician to join our interdisciplinary team on-site in the United States and support our ongoing research projects.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and fabrication of microfluidic devices using soft lithography, photolithography, and other standard methods.
- Manage the upkeep of BSL-2 and cleanroom environments, ensuring all materials and chemicals are handled and disposed of correctly.
- Operate and maintain essential laboratory equipment.
- Document all experimental procedures and results with high precision.
- Work alongside our research staff to refine and optimize fabrication protocols.
- Uphold all safety standards and regulatory requirements within the lab.
Must-haves
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program within an engineering field.
- Practical experience with cleanroom protocols and microfabrication techniques, whether gained through academic projects or professional work.
- Direct familiarity with the fabrication of microfluidic devices.
- Strong organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on experience with solvent bonding and injection molding.
Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from $41,600 to $52,000 per year, or $20 to $25 per hour. This is a part-time role requiring approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, with a schedule that we will coordinate based on mutual availability.
