The role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position reporting to Rishabh Gupta, where you will play a vital role in our testing team. You will focus on ETL development and the creation of robust pipelines that process large volumes of structured data. Core responsibilities
- Architect and construct scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines using AWS cloud computing solutions.
- Develop complex data transformations using Python and PySpark to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Design and maintain the databases and APIs required for the seamless storage and transmission of data across our applications.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong background in data engineering and a commitment to software development best practices. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the data engineering field, with a minimum of 3 years specifically focused on PySpark and AWS data tools like Glue.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, Pandas, and Apache Spark.
- Deep understanding of the AWS ecosystem, including S3, Athena, Step Functions, and Lake Formation.
- Experience with serverless computing, SQL and NoSQL database design, and infrastructure as code using CloudFormation.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Strong communication skills in English and a collaborative mindset for code reviews and team troubleshooting.
