At Refeyn, we are pioneering the field of mass photometry, providing researchers with the tools they need to see and measure molecules in their native state. We are looking for a driven professional to join our team and help us transform how our key accounts interact with our cutting-edge technology. If you are passionate about biotechnology and thrive in a consultative sales environment, we want to meet you.
Role at a glance
We are seeking a Senior Key Account Manager to join us on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in the United Kingdom, requiring someone who is comfortable working autonomously and traveling extensively to engage with our global partners. You will play a pivotal role in elevating our relationships with major accounts to a trusted partnership status.
Your impact
- Develop and execute comprehensive account profiles to capture vital business intelligence, ensuring all opportunities are tracked and managed within Salesforce.
- Act as the primary bridge between our key accounts and internal departments, including Marketing, R&D, and Customer Support, to ensure seamless communication and product success.
- Implement long-term retention strategies that solidify our market position and make it difficult for competitors to penetrate our core accounts.
What you'll need
To succeed in this role, you should be a confident communicator with a strong background in the biotechnology sector. We are looking for the following qualifications and expertise:
- A Masters degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or biophysics, with a PhD being a significant advantage.
- At least 3 years of experience in business development, specifically selling scientific capital equipment to R&D environments.
- Advanced proficiency in consultative sales, negotiation, and CRM management.
- A proven track record of hunting for new business, hitting targets, and managing complex planning cycles.
- The ability to work independently while maintaining strong organizational and time management skills.
- Fluency in English and the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
Perks and compensation
We are committed to supporting our team members both professionally and personally. Our benefits package includes:
- 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
- An employer-matched pension contribution of up to 7%.
- Comprehensive medical, life, and critical illness insurance from your first day.
- Generous family-friendly policies, including 17 weeks of fully paid maternity or shared parental leave and 4 weeks of fully paid paternity leave.
- Access to LinkedIn Learning and ongoing professional development training.
- A flexible hybrid work environment with adaptable start and finish times.
- Additional perks such as the Cycle to Work scheme, subsidized lunches for onsite staff, and a vibrant social calendar.
