Grupo Oricteropo Tropical is looking for a dedicated Junior Software Engineer to join our growing team in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. As a key part of our firm, which provides specialized services to TransMarket Group, you will contribute to our mission of excellence in capital allocation and high-performance software development while working within a culture that values long-term growth and professional development.

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with senior developers to master the nuances of software development within the automated trading sector.
Build, maintain, and support high-quality code for our global proprietary trading systems.
Develop deep technical expertise in C++ and the architecture of high-performance automated systems.
Work across departments, including our technology, trading, and finance teams, to ensure our business goals are met.

Must-haves

A degree at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate level in a technical or industry-related field.
A genuine passion for applying software engineering and mathematics to financial markets.
Proficiency in programming with C++, C#, and Python.
A strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
The ability to work on-site at our Aguadilla office, as this is a full-time, in-person role.

Nice-to-haves

A solid understanding of computing, probability, statistics, and finance.
Experience with Linux scripting.
