Junior Software Engineer at Osomprivacy

We are OSOM, a Silicon Valley hardware and software startup founded in 2020 by former members of the Essential Products team. Our mission centers on privacy: we design products that let people access the world without giving the world access to them. As a company, we treat privacy as a fundamental right and are building technology that puts individuals in control of their personal information. We are now seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our fully remote team and contribute to the design, development, and testing of our software.

Key outcomes

• Implement priority P1 and P2 features that enhance the overall product experience.
• Build new user-facing and custom features, working under the guidance of senior and lead engineers.
• Investigate emerging and future technologies and recommend options for integration into the product roadmap.

Requirements

• One to two years of professional software development experience or equivalent project and design work.
• Proficiency in software engineering practices and a solid understanding of privacy-focused technology development.
• Fluency in English for effective collaboration across the team.
• Authorization to work in the United States for all US-based applicants.

• Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Creative, proactive, and resourceful approach supported by data-driven decision making.
• Demonstrated history of delivering projects on time, with measurable results.

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000-$110,000 plus bonus and equity. In addition to competitive pay, we provide medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, maternity, paternity, and adoption leave, flexible paid time off with holidays including a winter shutdown, and a work-from-home stipend.
