About the Role

We are currently looking for a Junior Software Engineer (Backend) to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will work on the ground floor of our platform, helping us design and build critical micro-service components. You will have the opportunity to influence our product features while ensuring our systems maintain top-tier performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build electronic trading system components using a micro-service architecture from the ground up.
• Develop new features and product enhancements that prioritize security, performance, and clean, well-tested code.
• Collaborate within an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our users' needs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in software engineering and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We value candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• Excellent programming proficiency in Python, with a willingness to learn new languages like Rust.
• A deep understanding of computer architecture and network principles.
• Experience with TDD, modular code design, and building scalable systems.
• Hands-on experience delivering real-time data over the web.
• A strong sense of ownership and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• A degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred, though not required.

Location

This position is based in our office at IFC and operates on a hybrid work model.
