Key outcomes
- Monitor our systems and networks proactively and reactively to stay ahead of emerging security threats.
- Develop security monitoring solutions while enhancing our intrusion detection and response capabilities.
- Manage the security incident lifecycle by analyzing our SIEM to identify and remediate potential issues.
- Document all monitoring and response activities using our internal case management and ticketing systems.
- Analyze event data to detect, investigate, and report on successful or attempted security compromises.
- Assist internal staff with helpdesk requests, including user access management, onboarding, and offboarding procedures.
- Support the implementation of regulatory and information security policies to ensure our company remains protected.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or at least two years of relevant professional experience.
- Practical background in Security Operations, including experience with blue teaming, penetration testing, vulnerability disclosure, or CTF competitions.
- Proficiency with Linux and scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, BASH, or PowerShell.
- A solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and common attack tactics or techniques.
- Familiarity with endpoint protection, anti-malware tools, and compliance software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A high level of integrity and a dedicated work ethic.
