NY State Solar is currently looking for an energetic and driven professional to join our team as a Junior Recruiter. As one of the fastest-growing solar providers in the country and a top-rated company in New York, we pride ourselves on delivering premium solar components and innovative financing solutions. We manage the entire solar conversion process for our customers, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for building meaningful relationships and driving high-quality talent acquisition.
Key outcomes
- Identify and engage potential candidates by utilizing job boards, search engines, and social media platforms.
- Review resumes and online profiles to conduct initial candidate screenings.
- Work closely with hiring managers to define specific role requirements and expectations.
- Coordinate interview schedules and serve as the main point of contact for candidates during the hiring process.
- Manage candidate communication through email and follow-up outreach.
- Source referrals from internal and external networks to support recruitment for difficult roles.
- Maintain an organized pipeline of active and passive candidates within our applicant tracking system.
- Proactively anticipate future staffing needs and track key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill and source of hire.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in oral and written communication.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
- A collaborative spirit combined with the ability to work effectively on an independent basis.
- Practical experience with office productivity software, specifically Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and the Google Suite.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred for this position.
