Coretechsecurity is looking for a Junior Consultant
We are currently deep into Operation WIRE STORM, a critical mission to defend our infrastructure against an unprecedented cyber threat. As we look to strengthen our defenses, we are inviting you to apply for a Junior Consultant position within our Software Engineering graduate development program at CoreTech Security. This role is based in the United Kingdom, and we are looking for someone with the technical expertise to help us secure our systems. Because of the sensitive nature of our work, you must be a British citizen and prepared to undergo the necessary background checks to obtain security clearance.
What you'll be doing
- You will participate in a technical challenge that tests your ability to solve complex problems, requiring you to host your solution on a public platform like GitHub.
- You will develop software that must be compatible with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, ensuring your code is accurate, efficient, and well-documented with clear build instructions.
- You will demonstrate your technical reasoning by explaining your choice of language features and tools, as you will be expected to discuss your approach in detail during the selection process.
What you'll bring
- You possess strong Software Engineering skills and a passion for cybersecurity.
- You have a high level of proficiency in English to communicate your technical findings and reasoning effectively.
- You are comfortable working without third-party libraries, relying instead on your language's standard library to build your solutions.
- You are a British citizen who is eligible for and willing to undergo the required security vetting process.
- You are available to join us in our Cheltenham offices on 11th September 2025 if your application is successful.
