What is this role?
We are looking for a Junior Backend Developer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a mid-level position where you will report directly to the head of our Anti-Virus team. You will play a key role in designing and building software that protects our customers, and we offer a collaborative environment where you are encouraged to innovate with new technologies.
What will you do?
- Develop and optimize server-side logic, including managing databases and building efficient APIs.
- Leverage AWS cloud services to manage data, including working with DynamoDB, S3, and elastic search.
- Collaborate closely with front-end developers and designers to integrate back-end services and ensure our interfaces are intuitive and secure.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and 3 to 5 years of professional experience. We value candidates who are hard-working, analytical, and possess strong communication skills. Your technical toolkit should include:
- Strong proficiency in Java, MySQL, and Python.
- Experience with JavaScript and front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or jQuery.
- A solid understanding of object-oriented programming and API implementation.
- Familiarity with modern development workflows using GitHub, CI/CD, and Jira.
- Bonus points if you have prior experience working within the security domain.
