Jr. Data Scientist at Copado

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data analysis, a strong background in Python programming, experience working with large datasets using PySpark, and proficiency in data modeling techniques. Additionally, familiarity with Salesforce data models for Marketing and Sales cloud will be highly advantageous.

What you'll be doing:

1. Data Analysis: Utilize Python and PySpark to analyze large datasets, extract meaningful insights, and identify patterns and trends.
2. Data Modeling: Apply various data modeling techniques to design, develop, and implement effective data models that address business requirements and support decision-making processes.
3. Salesforce Integration: Work with Salesforce data models for Marketing and Sales cloud, extract relevant data, and integrate it into the analytical pipeline for further analysis.
4. Algorithm Development: Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and statistical models to solve business problems and improve processes related to marketing and sales.
5. Data Quality: Define an implement data quality policies for data sets and models as a mechanism to prevent data-drift, feature-drift and prediction anomalies
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand business objectives, gather requirements, and deliver actionable insights.
7. Documentation: Document analysis methodologies, findings, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Your ideal profile:

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of coding experience in Python, with a strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software development best practices.
3. At least 1 year of hands-on experience working with large datasets and using PySpark for data processing and analysis.
4. Proficiency in data modeling techniques such as dimensional modeling, entity-relationship modeling, and/or other relevant methodologies.
5. Strong communication and English language skills
6. Familiarity with Salesforce data models for Marketing and Sales cloud, and experience working with Salesforce APIs for data extraction and integration. Experience with Salesforce Analytics Tools including Standard Reports and Dashboards
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
8. Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
9. Experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch is a plus.
10. Knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and querying is mandatory.
11. Experience with data orchestration technologies such as Dagster or Airflow
12. Salesforce CRM Analytics or Tableau experience will be highly preferred
