What you bring

As a Senior Java Support Engineer, you will serve as a critical link between our engineering department and our most important customers. This full-time, remote position is open to candidates anywhere. You will leverage your expertise in Java, SQL, Linux, Docker, Gitlab, Scripting, Jira, and Confluence to ensure our platform delivers maximum value. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting complex technical issues, resolving production failures, and providing expert guidance on Java-related inquiries.
• Managing the engineering support backlog by triaging customer-reported issues and prioritizing critical escalations for the development team.
• Developing and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base and automated scripts to streamline information gathering and expedite the resolution of recurring platform issues.

Requirements

We are looking for a tech-savvy professional who excels at both deep-dive technical problem-solving and customer communication. You should have at least five years of experience working with Java and related development tools, including build servers, version control systems, and Linux environments. A strong background in object-oriented programming, service-oriented architecture, and deployment technologies like Docker is essential. We value candidates who possess a problem-solving mindset, excellent verbal and written English communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. While not mandatory, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is considered a plus.
