We are currently looking for a Mid-Level Java Cloud Engineer to join our team in our Buckhead, Atlanta office. We value builders and leaders who take initiative, demonstrate curiosity, and possess the drive to deliver scalable, sustainable software solutions from the ground up.
Key outcomes
- Design, develop, and maintain reliable, reusable software components.
- Utilize AWS or Azure APIs to engineer cloud-native applications.
- Create and manage automated unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Oversee the deployment, operation, and monitoring of production systems within cloud environments.
- Translate client requirements into detailed architectural plans and lead the implementation process through to final delivery.
- Engage in technical discussions and requirements reviews as an active member of an agile team.
- Manage complex technical workflows and interdependencies effectively.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a Cloud Developer, with daily proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Gradle, and Docker.
- 3 or more years of hands-on experience working with SQL and designing both SQL and NoSQL data models.
- Proven ability to build end-to-end cloud-native solutions.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and algorithmic concepts.
- Technical familiarity with cloud services such as Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, Kubernetes, ElasticCache, Elasticsearch, ALB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and CodeDeploy.
- Fluency in English.
- Please note that this is an onsite position in our Buckhead, Atlanta office, and we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
