We are searching for a motivated and communicative Senior ITOps Engineer to join our team in Canada. You will work within an interdisciplinary, Agile environment to enhance our product offerings and ensure our systems remain reliable, secure, and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation and management of networking functions for both internal and external communications.
- Maintain robust security and regulatory compliance, including the management of VPNs and two-factor authentication.
- Supervise our physical data center, covering aspects like cooling, power, and battery backup systems.
- Conduct regular audits of network configurations to ensure we meet the standards of corporate auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Lead disaster recovery efforts and manage our internal IT infrastructure library.
- Direct the internal IT help desk and manage user roles and permissions.
- Handle the configuration, patching, and maintenance of network applications and infrastructure.
- Manage user storage and provide technical support for PCs and mobile devices.
- Develop automation tools to eliminate manual processes during system deployment, scaling, and upgrades.
- Collaborate with scrum teams to integrate SRE best practices from the initial design phase through to production.
- Drive our transition toward Continuous Deployment to improve release reliability and reduce deployment windows.
Must-haves
- Extensive experience working in fast-paced, Agile environments.
- Proven ability to manage complex infrastructure and network security.
- Strong background in automation tools and configuration management.
- Expertise in disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Proficiency in security compliance and managing remote access solutions like VPNs.
- Experience with Continuous Deployment workflows and help desk operations.
- Strong command of the English language.
