About the Role
We are seeking a Senior IT Technical Support Specialist to join our Operations team on a full-time basis. This is an on-site position based in Oakland, California. In this role, you will serve as a vital resource for our end-users, managing hardware and software configurations, overseeing user accounts, and facilitating training to ensure our team has the tools they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive technical support by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, and coordinating equipment repairs.
- Oversee the administration of electronic mailing lists and manage software deployments to ensure systems remain accessible and secure.
- Develop and conduct training sessions for new users while creating documentation and reference materials to boost staff productivity.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience providing technical support for Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office and G Suite.
- Strong background in customer service, with the ability to resolve technical challenges both remotely and in person.
- Expertise in troubleshooting complex hardware and software problems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to various stakeholders.
- A commitment to personal growth regarding the understanding of systems of oppression and a constructive, uplifting approach to problem-solving.
