The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. In this role, you will be the backbone of our technical infrastructure, managing our mixed-platform environment and providing expert support to our global team. You will not just be fixing issues. You will be building the foundation for our future by establishing best practices, developing robust security policies, and executing projects that elevate our organizational maturity. Whether you are managing identity systems or streamlining our software deployment, your work will directly influence how we scale and succeed.
A day in the life
- You will manage and secure our diverse fleet of endpoints, ensuring seamless performance across macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
- You will act as a technical partner to our users, providing high-level support and guidance while managing service requests and asset lifecycles.
- You will contribute to our long-term IT roadmap by developing policies for identity management, multifactor authentication, and single sign-on, while documenting procedures to help the team grow.
Who you are
You bring at least 7 years of experience in high-demand IT support roles and possess a world-class approach to customer service. You are comfortable working in a remote, time-shifted schedule that overlaps with the Pacific time zone, and you communicate with clarity and empathy. Your technical toolkit is broad, covering everything from network administration to endpoint security.
We are specifically looking for the following expertise:
- Deep knowledge of Linux administration, including Ubuntu, RHEL, and CentOS.
- Proven experience in identity management and policy development for security platforms.
- A strong background in managing mixed-platform environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or bash to automate processes.
- Experience with tools like Google Workspace, JumpCloud, or Mosyle Business is a significant plus.
