We are looking for a skilled Senior IT Systems Engineer to join our team in Athens, Greece. At Thenamaris, we manage a sophisticated fleet of vessels and maintain a robust office infrastructure, and this role is essential for keeping our global operations running smoothly and securely.
Responsibilities
- Manage the installation and configuration of hardware and software, including servers, firewalls, switches, PCs, and printers.
- Monitor the performance and reliability of our systems to ensure consistent uptime.
- Provide technical support to both our shore-based staff and our seafarers.
- Work alongside our Information Security Officer and Security Operations Center to identify risks and implement protective measures.
- Coordinate with the Technical department to manage the convergence of IT and OT systems on our vessels.
- Perform on-site maintenance and installations, which will require travel to our vessels.
- Train Masters and Chief Engineers on our internal IT systems and provide first-line troubleshooting for all users.
Must-haves
- Extensive experience in managing IT infrastructure and cybersecurity protocols.
- Strong proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Ability to work on-site at our Vouliagmeni office.
- Fluency in English to communicate effectively with our international crew and staff.
- A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security threats.
