We are looking for a dedicated Senior IT System Engineer to join our global operations team. Our organization focuses on maintaining robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure to support our business goals. In this role, you will play a vital part in designing and managing the systems that keep our operations running smoothly. Because this is a fully remote position, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, provided you have a reliable internet connection and can maintain a schedule between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM in your local time zone.
Key outcomes
- Design, implement, and maintain our core IT infrastructure to ensure high levels of stability and security.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code principles to automate processes using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Python, and PowerShell.
- Manage and optimize our cloud environment, specifically focusing on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra, and Exchange Online.
- Oversee systems infrastructure, including virtualization, containerization with Docker, and comprehensive vulnerability management for both Windows and Linux environments.
- Maintain complex network infrastructure, including SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Participate in team on-call rotations to support our global operations.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive scalability and performance.
Requirements
- Three to five years of professional experience in a Systems Engineer or similar technical role.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, including Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization, containerization, and storage solutions.
- Deep understanding of cloud services, particularly within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
- Comprehensive knowledge of network architecture, such as routing, switching, and security policies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Fluency in English, with strong oral and written communication skills.
- A self-motivated approach to taking ownership of tasks and balancing shifting priorities.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience working within a global team environment.
- Familiarity with industry-standard security best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Advanced experience with orchestration and automation workflows.
