IT System Administrator at Tahzoo

We are seeking a Junior IT System Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing and administering various IT systems, including Office 365, Atlassian Suite (JIRA and Confluence), hardware devices (laptops with Mac and Windows OS, routers, access points, monitors), Azure, Azure AD, remote monitoring and management platforms (e.g., Ninja RMM), password managers (e.g. 1password), and IT cost tracking. The candidate should also possess excellent troubleshooting abilities and be comfortable working with C-suite users. This is an in-office position at our location in Washington DC.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Office 365 services, including email, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
• Manage and support Atlassian Suite applications, including JIRA and Confluence, ensuring optimal performance and availability
• Configure and set up hardware devices, such as laptops with Mac and Windows operating systems, routers, access points, and monitors
• Administer Azure services, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking resources
• Manage Azure AD, including user and group management, access control, and security policies
• Utilize remote monitoring and management platforms, such as Ninja RMM, to monitor and maintain system health and proactively address issues
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
• Collaborate with C-suite users, providing technical support, addressing their specific requirements, and ensuring their IT needs are met
• Work with password managers to securely manage and maintain user credentials and access control
• Track and manage IT costs, including licensing, hardware, and software purchases, and ensure efficient allocation of resources

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1-3 years experience as an IT System Administrator or similar role, with a focus on managing Office 365, Atlassian Suite (JIRA and Confluence), Azure, Azure AD, and hardware devices
• Strong knowledge of networking principles and experience with routers, access points, and related devices
• Proficiency in administering and troubleshooting both Mac and Windows operating systems
• Familiarity with Azure services, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking
• Experience with remote monitoring and management platforms, such as Ninja RMM or similar tools
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with C-suite users, understanding their needs and providing technical support
• Familiarity with password managers and their implementation in an enterprise environment
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to track and manage IT costs effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft certifications, such as MCSA or MCSE, related to Office 365 and Azure
• Atlassian certifications, such as ACP-100 for JIRA Administration
• Experience with other cloud platforms, such as AWS or Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge of scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python, for automation and process improvement
• Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) best practices
