SAR Academy is looking for a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. Located in Riverdale, New York, our school is a Modern Orthodox co-educational institution serving students from nursery through grade 8. We pride ourselves on fostering a warm, creative environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. As a member of our technology department, you will play a vital role in supporting our students, faculty, and administrative staff by maintaining our school infrastructure and ensuring our educational technology runs smoothly every day.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for our help desk, managing support tickets and providing direct technical assistance to students and staff.
- Oversee the maintenance and deployment of devices for our 1:1 iPad and laptop programs.
- Support the school’s broader technology infrastructure, including network equipment, interactive flat panels, audiovisual systems, and printers.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree, technical degree, or equivalent professional experience, ideally within an educational environment.
- Strong proficiency with macOS, iOS, Google Workspace, and Jamf management tools.
- Solid understanding of computer hardware, software, and basic networking components like routers and switches.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks while working with individuals of varying technical expertise.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, ACSP, CCNA, or Jamf certifications are highly valued.
What we offer
We provide a competitive salary range of $45,000 to $75,000, depending on your experience level. This is a 12-month position that includes a comprehensive benefits package to support your professional and personal well-being.
