The role
We are looking for a Senior IT Support Specialist II to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. This role is designed for an experienced professional who can provide both remote and deskside support across our various sites. You will work independently to resolve complex technical issues, support corporate infrastructure projects, and assist junior team members, all while ensuring our systems remain secure and efficient.
Core responsibilities
- Manage and resolve end-user service requests through our ticketing system, ensuring timely communication and escalation when necessary.
- Administer and configure user accounts across Active Directory, Office 365, and other specialized corporate systems.
- Provide comprehensive technical support for Windows OS environments, network connectivity, hardware troubleshooting, and audio-visual equipment for meetings.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent professional experience.
- At least seven years of experience in an end-user-facing support role, ideally within a regulated industry.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows desktop environments, PC applications, and networking protocols.
- Strong proficiency in DNS, DHCP, and general network troubleshooting.
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- A commitment to maintaining accurate records, documenting work, and contributing to our internal knowledge base.
