What you bring

We are looking for a mid-level IT Specialist to join us on a contractor basis at our Palo Alto, United States location. You will play a vital role in maintaining our office infrastructure while providing essential support to our remote team members. Your work will directly contribute to our ability to innovate and deliver life-changing science.

• Troubleshoot technical errors for remote users and resolve networking issues within the Palo Alto office.
• Manage vendor relationships and facilitate the installation of networking equipment to ensure seamless operations.
• Execute onboarding processes for new team members and assist with daily IT maintenance tasks.

Requirements

The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background combined with excellent customer service skills. You should hold a bachelor’s degree or have at least three years of equivalent professional experience. We require at least three years of experience in both macOS and Windows support, as well as three years of experience with Active Directory or Jumpcloud management. You must be proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft O365, with at least two years of experience in server maintenance and corporate network troubleshooting. Experience with Fortinet is preferred. We value candidates who are analytical, capable of working independently or in a team, and possess strong communication skills. Technical certifications like CompTIA A+ and familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Okta are considered a plus.
