IT Security Engineer at Pollyex

We are looking for a Senior IT Security Engineer to join our high-growth, fast-paced team. Polly is a trailblazer in the mortgage capital markets, providing a cloud-native, data-driven platform that empowers lenders to revolutionize their workflows and increase profitability.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security measures to protect our networks, systems, and data.
• Develop and maintain internal security policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Monitor network traffic to proactively detect and respond to potential threats or suspicious activity.
• Perform regular vulnerability scans and security assessments to mitigate risks.
• Lead incident response efforts, conduct investigations, and recommend remediation steps.
• Maintain security systems, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection or prevention systems.
• Ensure company compliance with frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Manage Mobile Device Management solutions to ensure device compliance.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for IT issues, including authentication, access control, and general troubleshooting.
• Administer G-Suite and other essential business applications.
• Provide training to staff regarding security best practices and IT processes.
• Stay informed on emerging security trends and technologies to strengthen our overall posture.

Must-haves

• At least 5 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity, specifically in managing and implementing security tools.
• Strong grasp of security protocols, principles, and modern technologies.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
• Proficiency in system and network administration.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards like SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Ability to manage IT support across diverse time zones in a remote-friendly environment.
• Experience managing G-Suite and other business-critical applications.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience securing and managing cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or BASH for task automation.
• Prior experience supporting remote teams across multiple time zones.
