IT Security Architect at Coreso

Coreso, as a Regional Coordination Center (RCC), plays a vital role in ensuring the secure and efficient operation of electricity flows across Europe. We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer/Architect who will reinforce and enhance our internal IT security, bringing both deep technical know-how and strategic vision.

Your new Challenge at Coreso 

As an IT Security Architect , you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving our internal security architecture and practices. This role demands a hands-on expert with solid knowledge in on-premises infrastructure, network and identity security, and risk and compliance frameworks.
You will work closely with technical and business teams to shape a secure, robust IT environment aligned with ISO 27001, NIS2, and other relevant standards.

• Evaluate and improve the on-premises security architecture, with a focus on secure infrastructure, firewall policies, and network segmentation.

• Define and maintain security baselines for endpoints, servers, and other critical infrastructure components.

• Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including AD, PKI, LDAP, and RBAC.

• Support mobile security initiatives by deploying and maintaining mobile device management (MDM) solutions.

• Collaborate with SOC and internal teams to respond to incidents, analyze threats, and enhance incident response strategies.

• Contribute to risk assessments, compliance audits (e.g., ISO 27001, NIS2), and the development of internal governance and security frameworks

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including hands-on work in security architecture

• Strong knowledge of on-premises systems and O365 security

• Proficiency with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, endpoint protection, SIEM, and log management

• Deep expertise in AD, PKI, LDAP, and IAM

• Strong skills in network security (LAN/WAN, VLANs, BGP, fiber security)

• Familiarity with ISO 27001, CIS benchmarks, and NIS2 compliance

• Autonomous, structured, and able to follow through with clear reporting

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

• Fluent in English (oral and written)
